Eleanor was born April 27, 1930 in Oxford, Wisconsin to Fern and Marjorie (Moore) Byers. She grew up and attended school in Oxford. She married Gerald C. Phillips on August 24, 1947 in Oxford, Wisconsin. They made their home in Oxford where they farmed and raised their family. Eleanor also worked at the Oxford Convalescent Home.
Eleanor enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, fishing, and playing games and spending time with her family.
Eleanor was a proud supporter of St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; Fern and Marjorie (Moore) Byers; husband, Gerald; son, Gary; brothers: Duane and Larry; sister-in-law, Margaret Nelson; brother-in-law, Bernard Nelson and Milton Reid; and grandson, Matthew Grupe.
Survivors include:
Daughter: Kathleen (Tom) Semrow of Wautoma, WI
Son: Daniel (Kathyrn) Phillips of Easton, WI
Son: Donald (Debbra) Phillips of Oxford, WI
Daughter: Rosemary (Thomas) Marrero of Jacksonville, FL
Sister-in-law: Thelma Walter
Further survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

sorry for the loss of Eleanor. She was a second Mom to me growing up. Spent alot of time at her house. I loved her little electric organ but she made me play it in the bathroom. One of my favorite memories. Remember all the good times Kathy. There were many.
