James Paul Bovee “Jim”, age 66, of Rome, Wisconsin succumbed to pancreatic cancer in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on January 6th, 2019. A Celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at the New Life Assembly of God Church in Plainfield, Wisconsin. Pastor Howard Kruize will officiate. Visitation will follow church services until the time of service on Sunday. Jim was born April 8, 1952, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin to Paul and Ora (Lester) Bovee. He graduated from Tri-County High School in 1970. Following graduation, he served in the National Guard until 1977. Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife Teresa of 43 years. They were married on November 8, 1975, at the Baptist church in Plainfield. Jim and Teresa had committed their lives to Christ early on in their marriage. Jim loved carpentry and had a very successful Home Improvement business for many years. He enjoyed his work and only retired a few years prior to his passing. He loved his family and his beloved dog Reggie. He was an avid Muskie fisherman and enjoyed woodworking, boating, paintball, joking around and making people laugh, and taking mission trips to South Texas and Mexico. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and a friend to everyone. Jim was an active member of the Assembly of God Church in Plainfield. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Paul & Ora Bovee; wife, Gloria (Hernandez) Bovee, and father-in-law, Frederick Prentice. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Bovee; sons, James Bovee Jr.; Jacques (Jamie) Bovee; John (Maggie) Bovee; daughter, Diamantina (Joseph) Oldakowski; grandchildren, Ryan, Zach, Jaiden, Gavin, Jack, Cate, Alora, and Oliver; brother, John (Marianne) Bovee; sisters, Jean Bovee, Jackie (John) Petruska, and Julie Boerner; brother, Joey Bovee; mother-in-law, Betty (Robert) Sparks; sister-in-law, Lisa (Todd) Schulz; brothers-in-law, Earl (Tracy) Sparks , and Jay Boerner along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. www.roseberrys.com

Teresa, we did not know Jim was ill. He was such a big part of our lives, in the dental office and as our favorite carpenter. We are so sad today as we learn of his passing.
