
Roger Herman Ribbke Sr.

Celebration of life gathering will be 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 18th, 2019 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home. Military honors will be presented at 7:30 p.m. by the Adams County Honor Squad.
Interment will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery, North Freedom, Wisconsin at a later date.
Roger was born June 11, 1938 in Ableman (later known as Rock Springs), Wisconsin to Herman and Leona (Zimmerman) Ribbke. He grew up in Rock Springs and left at the age of 18 to join the Air Force. He married Josephine Pope on July 3, 1960 in Macon, Georgia. Roger left the Air Force in 1968 and became a civilian contractor for Lockheed Aircraft Corporation. He returned to Wisconsin in 1970, where he joined the Wisconsin Dells Police Department and later the Adams County Sheriffs Department. Roger left law enforcement and entered the Injection Molding Industry taking supervisory roles for companies such as Allied Chemical, Becton-Dickinson, and Black and Decker. He also taught courses for injection molding at the University of South Carolina at Sumter.
Roger enjoyed reading, fishing, watching NASCAR, collecting coins, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents: Herman and Leona Ribbke; wife, Josephine (2006); and several members of his extended family.

We are truly so very sorry for your loss. Roger was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandparent and so much more. He was a strong, sweet and wonderful man who loved life and his family. He was funny and sassy man, two of the many wonderful qualities he shared with so much of his family and friends.
Remember him fondly, hold him close to your heart and always celebrate the wonderful life he loved and he lived. You are in our thoughts, our prayers and our hearts.
