Ray Chase
Family and Friends will gather at Roseberry’s Funeral Home on Sunday, November 17th, from 3 to 6 p.m. with a prayer service and remembrances at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Terri Skildum will officiate.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Ray was born April 27, 1974 in Friendship, Wisconsin to John and Darlene (Sly) Chase. He grew up in Dellwood and attended Adams-Friendship High School. Ray worked for Fenner’s Excavating for 20 years. He Married Michelle Waller on November 9, 2012 in Friendship, Wisconsin.
Ray’s passion was hunting and fishing.
Ray was a member of Roche-a-Cri Bowman’s Club, FLW, and a friend of Guardians of the Children.
Ray was preceded in death by his father John Chase; and aunt, Arlene Schimmel.
Survivors his wife, Michelle Chase; daughters: Katelyn and Julie Chase; step-daughters: Celina Kurth and Alicia Puerling; mom, Darlene Chase; sisters: Becky (Tim) Elliott, Roxanne (Jamie) Wells, Lori (Harvey) Hechtler; and uncle, Skip Schimmel. Ray is further survived by cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.

To all of Ray’s family and all that loved him so much, I am going to miss you my dear friend. Knowing you since 3rd grade and all the wonderful, funny stories we shared at Roche-A-Cri growing up!! You were one of the funniest and could always make me laugh uncontrollably! I will treasure those memories deeply. You could fish like no ones business and we’re a great hunter. An amazing husband, father, son, brother and friend to SO very many!! Curtie loved you SO much also. He will miss running into you on the water. No one knows the hurt someone deals with on a day to day basis. I’m glad your at peace now, my dear friend. You are able to fish and hunt all the time now. You made the absolute best fish fries and I will miss the plans we didn’t get to make. I will miss that I can never text you again. I will just plain miss you!!!😢 I will carry you in my heart until we meet again and I’ll be ready for some of your fish!! When I look to the sky at night I will see the “MOON” and know your watching over me!! Anyone that went to school growing up with you will understand this and I hope when anyone looks up at that dark sky and sees the moon they will think of him! 🥰 You were a kind man and would give the shirt of your back to someone in need. I could go on and on and tell some of the hilarious stories growing up…but that would take a book! I’ll treasure every memory of you and please save some fish for us!! Michelle I am so sorry to hear about Ray. I really enjoyed getting to know him for the last 2yrs. I meet a lot of people and I knew right when I met Ray he was authentic and I certainly appreciated him thinking of me. I will truly miss him and it is a honor to call him my friend.

I’m at a loss for words. My heart and prayers go out to his family. I’ll truly miss my updates from Ray on hunting, about deer sightings, food plots, wolf activity, etc. He will always be with me in spirit when I go out into my woods. Rest in piece, and I think deer hunting opens this week in HEAVEN. Fill your tag Ray. Will miss ya.
