Dennis Albert Renner, age 73, of Friendship, WI passed away on Saturday, June 6th, 2020 following a short courageous battle with bone cancer.

Dennis was born July 25, 1946 at the A-F Hospital in Adams, Wisconsin to Arthur and Norma (VanTassel) Renner. He attended Adams Friendship High School before leaving to help his father pulp and help with the family. Dennis then served in the Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Germany. After his return from service, he married Judith Jones and had two children. This marriage later ended in divorce. He worked for Clyde Giessel as a heavy equipment operator. Dennis earned his GED and then attended law enforcement school. He was a police officer for the City of Adams, ending his law enforcement career as the Assistant Chief. He changed his career and worked at Brewster Farms. Dennis worked and later retired as a heavy equipment operator for Fenners excavating. After retirement, he helped out his good friend, Scott Kotlowski, clearing land until the time of his illness.
Dennis married Linda Kirchner Ritchie on December 31, 2004 in Friendship, Wisconsin.
Dennis built his first stock car in 1970 with his brother, David, and raced for several years. He was presented an opportunity to race again with Glen Zant in recent years, winning the semi feature at Golden Sands. Dennis loved racing snowmobile ovals and drag. He was an exceptional bowler, he had two 300 games, and numerous 700 series. Dennis loved hunting, gardening, and taking his annual fishing trip up North with his family, traveling, and watching his great-nieces play rugby. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Badgers, and the Packers.
Dennis enjoyed his Tuesday Night “Union” Meetings at the Corner Bar.
