Garnett L. Burt

Garnett L. Burt, age 68, of Loretta/Draper, Wisconsin passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020.

Garnett was born June 28, 1952, in Elkhorn, WI to Lawrence and Mertie (Rumppe) Beier.

She married Charles “Chuck” Burt on May 6, 1978, in Woodstock, IL.

Chuck and Garnett were always together and hardly apart.  They lived many happy years raising their sons Chris and Josh in Darien, WI.

Garnett worked for many years at Bergamot Brass in Delavan, WI.

Garnett loved spending time with family and friends.  She enjoyed watching Packer games and going ATV riding.  Garnett loved to laugh and dance.  At a wedding, you could always find her on the dance floor, especially when her sisters were there.  Garnett liked to travel and enjoyed numerous vacations with Chuck and the boys. In 2009, Garnett and Chuck went to Las Vegas, NV, and renewed their wedding vows.  Sadly, Chuck passed away on March 22, 2010.

Garnett was preceded in death by her husband Chuck Burt; her parents; sister, Dorothy Stirmel; brothers, Irvin & Bernard Beier, and brother-in-law, Robert Braund.

Survivors include her two sons, Christopher (Holly) Burt, Joshua (Ruth) Burt; six grandchildren, Kristin, Daniel, Nathan, Cody, Wyatt, and Ethan; brother-in-law, Dan Stirmel; seven sisters, Judy Pitzer, Margaret Michalek, Barbara Stephens, Ida Braund, Debra (Darryl) Raabe, Patricia Beier, Alice (Dean) Drewitz, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A celebration of Garnett’s life will be Saturday, September 12, 2020, from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 p.m. at Turtle Creek Parkway (Stone Arch Bridge) 6528 S. Smith Rd. Clinton, WI. *Please use E. Creek Rd. to S. Smith Rd. as the bridge from E. Cty Rd. J is closed.
