Clifford Douglas Larson, age 80, of Arkdale, Wisconsin passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics in Adams, Wisconsin following a long battle with COPD.

Private family funeral services will be Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. Shawn Stapelton will officiate.

The public is welcomed to join the family for the interment at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date at the Trinity Congregational Church in Adams.

Cliff was born October 09, 1940 in Juneau County, Wisconsin to Donald Lee and Opal Rosella (Tucker) Larson. He grew up in Mauston and New Lisbon area. He attended Cat Tail Valley and graduated from New Lisbon High School. Cliff worked for many years at Farnam in Necedah, GMS in Mauston, and later worked for himself as a carpenter. He married Patricia Baggs on October 20, 2001 in Trinity Congregation Church in Adams, Wisconsin.

Clifford enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking care of their dog, Molly.

Clifford was a member of Trinity Congregation Church in Adams.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents: Donald and Opal Larson; sister, Ellen Larson, brother, Donald James Larson; son, Roger Sternhagen; brother-in-law, Donald Senzig Sr. and nephew, Donald Senzig Jr.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Patricia (Patty) Larson; daughter: Sandra (Jerry) Rochen of Westby, Wisconsin; grandson, Peter (Ann) Rochen; great-grandchildren: Teegan and Evey Rochen; daughter, Laurie Larson of Eau Claire, WI; daughter, Lisa (Matthew) Chamberlain of Tucson, AZ; daughter, Mary (Jeremy) Edge (and their children) of Broadhead, WI; daughter, Cyndy (Richard) Schowalter of Oconomowoc, WI; grandchildren: Chrystelle and Emily; son, Rich (DeAnn) Sternhagen of Friendship, WI; grandchildren: Richie and Ashley; daughter: Melissa Sternhagen of Clemson, SC; sister, Adoree Senzig of Caledonia, WI; further survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

    So sorry to hear of Clifford’s (Cliff’s) passing. My sincere condolences to the entire family. He will be missed by myself, family and many others. I’d like to add that Cliff loved Patty’s companionship, her cooking, working in his garden, hobby wood shop, bird feeding, watching football and vintage western TV shows. A prayer of peace and comfort to Cliff and all that had the pleasure to know him.

    Patty and family,
    I have no words to comfort you. Know that Cliff was a great boss to many of us. We did a lot together over the years. I remember one year for his birthday, we were all going to sportsman’s after work. When we got done with work, it had snowed for over 8 hours. I opened my car door and the snow moved aside. From that day on, I always remembered his birthday. Cliffy, rest in peace! I’m going to miss your bear hugs. Until we meet again

    Condolences Patty and family, I have very fond memories of Cliff while working with him @ Farnam, I have to say he was the best boss I ever had. He was a fair boss and good to us all. He sure was a jokester at times as well. May your memories of him get you through the sad times.
