June Marie Waltman Sherd Manning, age 79, of Friendship, Wisconsin passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021.
June was born June 15, 1942, on the family farm in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin to Howard P. and Olive C. (Rhinehart) Waltman. She married Billie V. Sherd and together they had 8 children. He passed away on April 17, 1984. She met and married Walter W. Manning Sr. on July 15, 1989, blending both families for a total of 10 children.
June worked for Community Action through the ’70s and ’80s helping those in need. She loved being a grandmother and a great-grandmother. She was very proud of her children.
June was preceded in death by her 1st husband Billie V. Sherd, parents Olive & Howard P. Waltman, brother Larry Waltman, sister Pauline Waltman, sons Brice V. Sherd & Brian V. Sherd, daughter Dawn C. Sherd-Manning, daughter-in-law Natalia Alvarez-Sherd, great-granddaughter Lilith E. Gavigan, and son-in-law Mark Walloch.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years Walter W. Manning Sr.; sons Billie V. (Ingrid) Sherd of Germany, Duane K. Sherd of WI. Rapids, Matthew M. Sherd of Friendship; daughters Shelly Sherd of Westfield, Sherry Sherd of Friendship; stepson Walter (Sherrie) Manning Jr. of Friendship, and stepdaughter Viola (Peach) Walloch of Friendship.
June will be laid to rest at Butterfield Cemetery in Reedsburg, WI in the spring next to her 1st husband Billie V. Sherd and her parents, grandparents, sons, and daughter.
