JoAnn Challoner – March 2, 1943-March 24, 2022
JoAnn Challoner originally born Jo Ann Swiger on March 2, 1943, to Irma May Swiger and Joseph Swiger. At the time of her birth Irma was very ill, so at discharge, she was taken home by her grandparents Bertha and Carl Walker who later adopted her at age 10.
Joann was a graduate of South Division High School in Milwaukee, WI. During those years she was an award-winning violinist. On June 2, 1962, she married her beloved husband Fadell Challoner. They had four children Cindy, Phillip, Frank, and Mary.
Joann enjoyed over the years trapshooting with her husband and children, doing puzzles, and being a dedicated wife, mother, and friend.
Joann leaves behind her beloved husband Fadell Challoner, four children Cindy Challoner, Phillip (Diane) Challoner, Frank Challoner, and Mary (Ryan) Ludwig; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.
She modeled a life well lived and will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
So very sorry for the family’s loss. Jo Ann and my mom worked together at the old Kickapoo gas station in Adam’s oh so many years ago. She was a really great lady
