He is survived by his wife Doreen of 48 years, daughter Dawn (Chris) Lowrey, son Ryan (Amanda King) Levzow, granddaughters Taylor Levzow, Payton Levzow and grandson Blaze Levzow and Nevaeh. I cannot remember a time when I did not know Rick. I am very close friends with Dawn and spent many times at their home. I always remember him smiling, funny, and kind. My mom always had me take the cab and I would call him each morning for rides to school. For some reason, I always called him Mr. Levzow. He would say, “Suzy, call me Rick”. It just became a thing then, where I did that all the time and he would say that back. One day, when I was a teen and my mom and I weren’t getting along particularly well, she heard me on the call with the cab. She said “why are you so nice to other people”? I said, “because he’s always nice to me!” My heart breaks for Doreen, Dawn, Ryan, and their families. It is difficult enough to lose a family member, but one that shined as bright as him makes it all that much harder. Sending you all so much love!!

Doreen and Family, I was truly sad to hear of Rick’s passing. My heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time.
Sending you love and strength and peace as you navigate through this challenging period.
Please accept my deepest sympathies. Love Lori
I’ve known Rick and his family for over 30 years. I started City Cab as a driver and then Rick trained me to be the night dispatcher. In those days we had 25 cabs and no computers. Rick was the best dispatcher for many years. Rick was a great co-worker and long time personal friend. Condolences to his wife Doreen and his family.
So sorry for your loss my friend.
He was always so kind with the girls, transporting them in the cab from school to daycare.
And I never saw him without a smile.
