Lodi – Carl T. Nelson Farwell, age 88, of Lodi Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday April 27, 2025.

He was born on December 29, 1936, in Ironwood, Mi., the fourth child of Toivo and Rachel Nelson (Nieminen). He moved to Schiller Park, IL. in 1954. It was there where he met Barbara Dorsey his soulmate, they married on July 13, 1956 and later had children. They raised their two sons William T. Nelson and Robert E. Nelson in Hanover Park, Illinois. Carl worked as an Iron Worker and later as a carpenter.

Carl T. Nelson is survived by his son William T. Nelson; Daughter-in-law; Carrie Nelson. Grandson, Bryan Nelson; great-grandchildren, Dustin, Braydon, Ethane, Scarlet, Gwendoline. Grandson Bradley W. Nelson; great grandchild, Jade. Grandson, Scott C. Nelson. Granddaughter Amy J. Nelson; great-granddaughter, Lilliana. Granddaughter Ashley Nelson and grandson Brandon Nelson (Ashley and Brandon, children of Robert E. Nelson).

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Nelson (Dorsey), his son Robert E. Nelson, his parents; Toivo Nelson and Racheal Nelson (Nieminen), his siblings; Arlove Barney, Marlene Genster and Donald Nelson.
