William Hudson
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Illinois.
Born on May 1, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, to William and Eunice (Bellew) Hudson. He married the love of his life, Debra A. Johnson, on December 31, 1991, in Wheaton, Illinois, beginning a partnership that would carry them through more than three decades together.
Bill spent his career in construction and was especially known for his exceptional trim work. He was the kind of craftsman who noticed the details others might miss and took pride in doing things the right way.
Music flowed naturally through him. A masterful guitar player, he could fill a room with sound and soul. He cheered faithfully for the Chicago Cubs and carried the spirit of a true old hippie, embracing life with humor, independence, and a little “recreational therapy” along the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Steven; and his daughter-in-law, Mindy.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Debbie; and was the best dad to his children, Billy Jr., Kathryn, Danny, Frank, and Curtis; an even better grandpa to his grandchildren, Jen, Riannah, Hunter, Alysha, Madyson, Keregan, Brooke, and William; and the greatest great grandpa to his great-grandchildren, Carter, Riley, and Sayler; and his sisters, Pamela, Patricia, and Deborah.
His music, laughter, and craftsmanship will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
