Margaret Simons McBride

Margaret Simons McBride, 84 of Muskego, Wisconsin, passed away quietly after a short illness on November 15. Margaret was born in Chicago on March 25, 1926. She married Bernard McBride on February 14, 1947 in Evanston, IL. After their marriage, they lived in Adams, West Bend, Sheboygan and Muskego. Since June 1999, Margaret was a resident of the Tudor Oaks Retirement Community in Muskego.

Margaret was a graduate of Englewood High School, Chicago, the Sheboygan County Teachers College and Lakeland College. She taught third grade at Jackson School, Sheboygan for fifteen years.

Margaret had a great passion for cooking and good food. Her hobbies included gardening and listening to Wisconsin Public Radio. She had a natural curiosity and love of learning. She will be greatly missed by her family and her friends at the Tudor Oaks Retirement Community.

She is survived by her two sons and their wives, John and Gail (Pepitone) McBride of Westborough, MA and Scott and Debra (Taplin) McBride of Muskego and her grandchildren Jonathan, Michael, Timothy, Elizabeth and Stacey. She is also survived by her sister and brother, Carol Krueger of Oak Lawn, IL and David Simons of Oak Forest, IL, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, and her sister, Barbara Pickett.

There will be a memorial service at Tudor Oaks Retirement Community in Muskego at 2 pm on Saturday, November 20 in the Oak Ridge dining room. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, you may make a contribution in Margarets name to Wisconsin Public Radio or Bookworm Gardens in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
