Violet J. Premo, age 78, of King (formerly of Westfield), Wisconsin died Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Pastor Wayne Schwanke will officiate. Interment will be at the Hillside Cemetery, Coloma, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
Violet was born July 28, 1932 in Portage, Wisconsin to Lee and Emma (Vondrak) Dye. She graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1950 and later from the Wautoma County Normal where she earned her teaching degree. She married Richard R. Premo Sr. on March 10, 1951 in Dubuque, Iowa. She graduated from UW St. Point with a bachelor in elementary education and later earned her Masters Degree from UW Platteville. Violet taught school at Westfield Elementary, retiring in 1994 after teaching for 24 years.
Violet was an avid collector of many things, shopping, reading, crafts, working on her computer, and spending time with her family.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Emma Dye; husband, Richard R. Premo Sr.; one grandson, Richard R. Premo III; one granddaughter, Nicole M. Premo; and one great-grandson, Casey L. Premo Jr.

Mrs. Premo was both my fifth grade teacher and my daughter’s teacher as well! I have thought of her often over the years, as she was an inspirational, encouraging, effective and compassionate teacher…my favorite one to this day. There is no doubt that she will be missed!! My condolences and best wishes to her family.
