Albert John Bettack Jr., age 76, of Coloma (Town of Lincoln, Adams County), Wisconsin died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. John K. Stake will officiate. Interment will be at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Town of Springfield, Marquette County, Wisconsin.
Friends may call at Roseberrys Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Albert was born September 29, 1934 in Antigo, Wisconsin to Albert and Mildred (Stasek) Bettack Sr. He married Gloria Verhagen on June 26, 1954 at Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo, Wisconsin. The couple made their home in Antigo until 1970, when they moved several times before settling in Adams County 1986. Albert worked as a semi-truck driver, retiring in 1998 due to health issues.
Albert enjoyed snowmobiling, working on cars and restoring antique cars, driving all over the country in his semi-truck, listening to country western and polka music, watching western movies, camping, and spending time with his family.
Albert was a member of Teamsters Local #301 and was on the board for Lincoln Township, Adams County.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mildred Bettack; brother, Eugene Bettack; and infant sister, Betty Bettack;

Grandchild: John Paul (Jacqueline) Bettack of Genoa City, Wisconsin
GreatGrandchildren: Cody, Randy, Emilee, Shianne, Trev, Jackson, Lylia, Collin, and Coltin
Brother: James Bettack of Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Sister: Shirley Zelazoski of Wausau, Wisconsin
Further survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Dear Gloria and family, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Al. I will always cherish the many great memories I have of the great times we spent together, especially those great snowmobile trips. Al was a great friend and always made me laugh. I am so sorry i can not make it to his service, but know that all of you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Our heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. Always keep close the memories of Al. I’ll always remember the time he stopped into the store to pay for his gas and buy a beef stick. I accidentally charged him for a whole package. Imagine the phone call I got! Glad he had a very good sense of humor.
