Byron Hutsell Tomlin

Byron "Bob" Hutsell Tomlin, age 80, of Friendship, Wisconsin entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church in Arkdale, Wisconsin. Pastor Terri Skildum will officiate. Cremation will follow the traditional service. Military rites will be offered at the church by the Adams VFW Post #6279; the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday.

Bob was born May 21, 1927 in Townsend, Wisconsin to Alfred and Amy (Hutsell) Tomlin. He graduated from Townsend High School 1944. Bob was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Navy. He moved to Kenosha, WI following the war and married Shirley M. Schilling on May 6, 1950 in Kenosha. The couple owned and operated a gas station in Kenosha, Wisconsin before working for AMC/Chrysler Corporation. He retired after 27 years of service. Bob retired to Friendship area in 1976.

Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cribbage, the outdoors, and socializing with friends.

Bob was a member of the Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church, the Castle Rock Lions, the Kenosha VFW Post #1874, a leader in the Boy Scouts, and church youth groups.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Amy (Hutsell) Tomlin; four sisters(Mildred, Hilda, Evelyn, and Theora); and one brother, (Kenneth); special nephew, Edward Palmer

Memorials may be directed to the Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church.
