George Nouland Coulter IV, age 71, of White Creek, Wisconsin died Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the Tomah VA Medical Center in Tomah, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the White Creek Congregational Church in White Creek, Wisconsin. Pastor Dwight Condon will officiate. Interment will be at the White Creek Cemetery, Town of Easton, Adams County, Wisconsin. Military rites will be offered at the graveside service by the Adams VFW Post #6279; the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
George was born April 10, 1935 in New York, New York to Dr. George Nouland and Mary M. (Wilkenson) Coulter III. He married to the late Carol Mae Kegel. George served over 24 years in service to his country, in the Marine Corps, Navy, Naval Reserve and Army Reserve. George held many positions through out the years including being Chief of Police in Cleveland, WI for 8 years, an electrician at Kohler Company, office machine repair, and dog training and grooming business in Oostburg, WI. He later worked as a funeral director at Roseberrys Funeral Home for many years retiring in 1998. George later was appointed Adams County Coroner serving two terms.
George enjoyed training dogs, raising horses, refurbishing antique furniture, and listening to pipe organ music.
George was member of the White Creek Lions Club, White Creek Congregational Church, the Vietnam Veterans Association, antique car club, and the American Quarter Horse Association.
George was preceded in death by his parents, and his granddaughter, Lisa Coulter.
