Garland E. Schulthess

Garland E. Schulthess, age 84, of Hancock, Wisconsin died Thursday, February 22, 2007 at his home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. David Dahl will officiate. Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to the time of service on Tuesday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.

Garland was born November 7, 1922 in Monroe, Wisconsin to Jacob and Ruth (Bushnell) Schulthess. He grew up on the family farm near Monroe, working with his father and grandfather. Garland graduated from Monroe High School. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army in the European Theater of Operations. Garland married Dora Mae Severson on December 12, 1945 in Argyle, Wisconsin. They made their home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He worked for the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, where he worked as an Electronics Technician. He retired in 1984, and moved to Northern Adams County full-time in 1996.

Garland enjoyed collecting antique tractors, amateur radio, hunting, fishing, and woodworking.

Garland was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dora Mae; an infant son, Dorian; and a sister, Dardinella.

Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association in Garlands memory.

Grandson: Jeremy Schulthess of Milwaukee, Wisconsin
