James David Smock

James "Smokey" David Smock, age 64, of Necedah, Wisconsin died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at his home.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Pastor Steve Miller will officiate. Interment will be at a later date at the Monroe Center Cemetery, Town of Monroe, Adams County, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be at Roseberry’s on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.

James was born January 28, 1943 in Rockford, Illinois to Harold and Myra (Baldwin) Smock. He was drafted in the Army and served in Korea. James worked in Rockford, IL in the Tool & Die Industry. James married Kaygene on November 8, 1975 in Rockford, Illinois. Because of their love of the outdoors, they moved to Monroe Center, Wisconsin in 1977. They bought a gas station that serviced small engines and outboard motors for a number of years. Later he worked in Mauston and surrounding areas, taking root in Necedah. James was retired for 6 years.

James was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kaygene 1989; and an infant brother, Ronald Harold.

Brother: Robert (Janell) Smock of Loves Park, Illinois
Further survived by aunts, uncles, a nephew, and cousins.
