Rosalie J. Stormoen, age 83, of LeRoy, KS (formerly of Friendship, WI) died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Coffey County Hospital in Burlington, Kansas.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. Richard Corning will officiate. Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 9:30 until the time of service on Wednesday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
Rosalie was born May 13, 1923 in Plainfield, Wisconsin to Earl LeRoy and Iva Blanch (Rittenhouse) Sheldon. She graduated from Plainfield High School in 1941. Rosalie married Charles M. Holden on May 9, 1941 in Kansas. This marriage was blessed with one daughter before ending in divorce. She married Norval Stormoen on August 18, 1956 in Waukegan, IL. Rosalie worked for the Adams County Hospital as a physical therapy aid and later she worked at Carols Fashion Delight.
Rosalie enjoyed gardening, flowers, ceramics, visiting with friends and family, and crocheting.
Rosalie was a member of the Adams Trinity Congregational Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #6279; the ACMH Hospital Partners; and the Kilbourn Chapter #120 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norval; brother, Andy Sheldon; and sister, Ione Apps.

Grandson: Dennis (Dawn) Miller of Bridgeville, PA
Grandson: John (Kate) Miller of Crafton, PA
Grandson: Brian Miller of Topeka, KS
Great-Grandchildren: Michael, Zachery, Dillon all of PA
Further survived by many brother and sister-in-laws; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

What a lovely woman! I worked with Rosalie in the hospital setting for many years. I remember her as a helpful Aide when our youngest child was born, then her and Phyllis Price as coworkers in the P.T. Department. I chanced to see her often in later years
