Ferdinand Reitz

Ferdinand Reitz, 84 years, of 904 S. Spring Street, Beaver Dam passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at the UW Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Funeral Service will be on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Roseberrys Funeral Home, 512 Main Street, Friendship, Wisconsin, with the Rev. Sam Downey officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 17, 2007 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Repose Cemetery in the town of Adams, Wisconsin. Military rites will be offered by the Adams VFW Post #6279; the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273.

Ferdinand was born the son of Frederick and Phyllis (Thomas) Reitz on April 7, 1923 in Montello, Wisconsin. He was married to Charlotte Le Moine on July 16, 1945 in South Milwaukee.

Ferdinand served his country in the United States Air Corp as a flight engineer. He was a maintenance supervisor for most of his working career.

Ferdinand is survived by his wife of 62 years, Charlotte of Beaver Dam; his four children: Peggy A. (Eldon) Cook of Beaver Dam, Donna (George) Hall of Milwaukee, Freddie (Jennifer) Reitz of Beaver Dam and Cathy (Angel) Hernandez of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; special family friends: Steve, Lanette and Nicholas Brown of Beaver Dam; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Anthony and Alex, sisters: Regina, Emma and Susie and his granddaughter, Lisa Marie Cook.

The Koepsell Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Beaver Dam and Roseberrys Funeral Home of Friendship are serving the family.
