Ronald L. Riedel, age 69, of Arkdale, Wisconsin passed away on March 27, 2011 surrounded by his family at his home in Arkdale, Wisconsin.
Memorial services will be 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Big Flats, Wisconsin. Pastor Karyn Bodenschatz will officiate.
Ronald was born July 30, 1941 in Milton Junction, Wisconsin to Albert and Dorothy (Lutz) Riedel.
He grew up in Baraboo Wisconsin.
Ron married Rita Carlson on February 27, 1971 in Galena, Illinois. He was a general contractor in Rockford, Illinois. Ron was an Owner/Operator for Schneider Trucking. Ron and Rita moved to Adams County in 1978.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Ron was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Big Flats and taught Sunday School & Confirmation for many years while his children were growing up.
He was preceded in death by:
Parents, Albert & Dorothy (Lutz) Riedel;
Three Sons, Michael, Kenny & Scott Riedel &
Sister, Roxanne (Dick) Baumbach

Daughter: Rene L. (Dave Howard) Riedel of Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Son: Randy L. (Megan E.) Riedel of Arkdale, Wisconsin
Sister: Becky (Peter) Langner of Dixon, Ilinois
Granddaughter: Rebeca L. Riedel of Arkdale, Wisconsin
Grandson: Michael A. Riedel of Arkdale, Wisconsin
Granddaughter: Hailey G. Howard of Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Daughters: Robin & Darcy

Rita,Renne, and Randy. I am truly sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. Though we know in our hearts that he is in a better place with no more pain and no more struggles. You know we had our ups and downs in our friendships but I want you to know Ron was an awesome man. So many times his advice saved me. He was always there when I really needed him. He will be missed by many. God has taken another angel home. RIP Ron.
