Stanley Sapp

Stanley F. Sapp, age 64, of Friendship, WI died Thursday, February 11th, at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison, WI.

Stanley was born July 19, 1945 in LaGrange, IL to John G. and Frances (Protheroe) Sapp. He grew up an active member of the Boy Scouts and graduated from Rockford East High School in 1964. He worked in the Rockford area before moving to Adams, WI in the 1980s. He worked many years for the Teamsters driving a semi and retired in 2003. After retiring, he cooked and bartended at the Adams VFW.

Stanley enjoyed the outdoors, homemade pies, his motorcycles, hunting, fishing, watching football, trips to Mexico, serving papers with brother-in-law, Larry Warren, spending time with his friends and most recently, spending time on his daughters front porch in a certain wicker chair.

Stanley was preceded in death by spouse, Kathleen Sapp, mother, Frances P. Sapp and father, John G. Sapp.

Stanley is survived by daughter, Catherine (Sapp) Switzer and son-in-law, Stephen Switzer of Roscoe, IL. Brother, Harvey Sapp of Oologah, OK; and nieces, Loretta (Sapp) Chavira of Aurora, CO, and Elisabeth Crichton-Sapp of Rockton, IL. Stanley is also survived by many special friends including Wendy Widerborg. He is also survived by his best friend, a teacup poodle, Gracie. She will miss him greatly.

    I was sorry to hear about Stan. We went to school together in Rockford and ran into each other again here in Adams. The last time I saw him was in the hospital.Stopped several times to visit. I will miss his teddy bear hugs.
