Wayne was born September 9, 1928 in the Adams County Town of Strongs Prairie to Severt and Hattie (Swartout) Oleson. He married Doris Esther York on November 4, 1949 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.

Wayne was a farmer all his life, farming the home farm in the town of Monroe. He also held many other jobs throughout his lifetime. He helped clear the land which is now Petenwell Lake & Flowage. He drove school bus for the Adams-Friendship School District for many years before becoming, in his later years, a janitor at Pineland School and eventually retired as the Maintenance Supervisor for the School District.

He worked for the Town of Monroe grading roads and plowing snow.

Wayne was a County Board Supervisor for a few years. He served on a committee that named all the roads in the county from A to G.

Dad enjoyed his deer hunting season every year. It was a time that brought the family together for meals and stories for nine straight days. He was a great hunter and has many large mounts to prove it.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family who will establish a memorial at a later date.
