Evelyne M. Murphy

EVELYN M. MURPHY, 82 of ROCKFORD, Illinois (formerly of Friendship, Wisconsin) went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 4, 2010. Born Sept. 17, 1927, in Beloit, Wis., to William and Fern (Garde) Meiborg.

Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her many friends at the Dough Boys Donut Shop, her friends from the Four Seasons in Adams Friendship, and her trips to Arizona. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her children, Char Brockman, Steve (Janet), Donald (Dawn), and Jeff (Chris) Zentz; grandchildren, Rebecca (Lee) Gillette, Dan, Sam and Ethan Zentz, Joe and Kevin Spears and Heather and Nicole Zentz; great-grandson, Hayden Zentz; sister, Luella Gilbank; brothers, William, Ray (Joan) and special friend in Arizona, Kris Lambrecht; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by grandson, Tim Spears; brother, Faye Meiborg and Sister in Law, Isabelle Meiborg.

Private services were held at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services in Rockford.

    Sympathy to you on the loss of your mother. Evelyn and I worked together at Lakeview Cafe. She was a dedicated and hard working lady who always still had time to laugh and visit with everyone and make them feel special. She had already earned her wings. God bless you Evelyn.
