David Andrew Van Giesen

David Andrew Van Giesen, age 62, of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin died April 19, 2010 at the Wm S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital in Shorewood Hills, Wisconsin.

Memorial service are planned for a later date.

David was born October 7, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to Andrew and Margaret (Shure) Van Giesen. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Air Force.

He moved to Wisconsin in 2002. David loved to play pool you would often find him playing (and mostly winning) at the Wooden Nickel. He also enjoyed reading books, cross word puzzles, hunting and fishing.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Malek; Grandmother, Edna Pongetti; and his uncle, William Shure.

Brother: Robert Van Giesen of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin
He will be greatly missed by his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, numerous nieces and nephews, along with great-nieces and nephews and one great-great-niece. He had many friends, especially Jerry, Lou, Mike, Beverly, and Carrie. He will be greatly missed by all.

    Sorry to hear of your loss and many of us in Grand Marsh. Hewas a very nice and friendly person to everyone he met. I will miss him, but he willnot suffer anymore. He is with Bernie in Heaven and maybe they can play pool up there.
