Martin Henry King

Martin Henry King, age 80, of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston, Wisconsin.

Per Martins wishes, no services are planned. He will be laid to rest at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, Wisconsin.

Martin was born May 30, 1931 in Burlington, Wisconsin to William and Anna (Hoeffner) King. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army. Martin worked for American Motors, and later retired from pipe fitters union local #597 in Illinois.

Martin was a member of the VFW Post in Zion, IL.

Martin an avid card player, and enjoyed playing euchre and other card games with his good friends several times a week.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna King; and his sister, Agnes Henningfeld.

Survivors his best friend, Myrtle Smith of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin; nephew, David (Eileen) Henningfeld of Waterford, Wisconsin; brother: Dominic King of Burlington, Wisconsin; good friends: Bob Heitman and Larry Metcalf; and neighbors: John Short, Conrad, and Kathy. He is further survived by many friends and relatives.
