Clark E. Smith, age 72, of Camanche, Iowa died unexpectedly from a heart attack on Saturday, November 19, 2011 while deer hunting.
A Memorial Gathering from be 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home. Following the memorial gathering his ashes will then be scattered in the woods where he loved to be.
Clark was born May 19, 1939 in Friendship, Wisconsin to Harold and Angela (Canfield) Smith. He attended the Adams-Friendship High School. Clark served in the Navy during the early 1960s and later worked at the Adams County Memorial Hospital. He married Dorothy Roehm on April 10, 1969 in Sterling, Illinois. Clark then worked as a truck driver until he retired.
Clark enjoyed fishing, hunting, driving truck, his sports car, sitting in the restaurant having coffee with his friends, and spending time with his family.
Clark was a member of the National Rifle Association, North American Fishing Club, and the North American Hunting Club.
Clark was preceded in death by his father, Harold Smith; mother, Angela Smith; and his grandmother, Mary Canfield.
