Conrad "Bud" Lawson

Conrad L. Bud Lawson, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at St. Josephs Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the United in Christ Lutheran Church in Dellwood, Wisconsin. Rev. T. Christian Nelson will officiate. Interment will be at the Quincy Cemetery, Town of Quincy, Adams County, Wisconsin. Military Honors will be presented by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at United in Christ Lutheran Church.

Bud was born on May 10, 1923 in Fresno California to Harry and Eleanor (Frye) Lawson . He grew up in California with his family. Bud joined the Navy during WWII, serving with honor and distinction from January 1941 to May of 1946 in the Pacific Theater. He married Alice Cebron on September 21, 1944 in New York City.

Bud spent his working years in Milwaukee, working as a carpenter in the construction industry. He retired from construction in 1974 and moved to Friendship where he and Alice lived in the house that he built. Bud also spent several years working for Swiss Colony in Monroe, Wisconsin.

Bud lived an independent life up until the time of his death. Bud enjoyed gardening, working on projects around the house, reading and watching television with his dog Maya.

Bud was a member of the Red Cloud American Legion Post #0250 and the United in Christ Lutheran Church in Dellwood.
Memorials may be directed to the United in Christ Lutheran Church.

Bud was preceded in death by his wife Alice (2008), his brother Jack Lawson and his sister Eleanor Kelsenberg.

Daughter: Robin Lawson of Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Son: Jody Lawson of Mukwonago, Wisconsin.
Grandchild: Alisha (Mike) Lawson Baackes of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
Grandchild: Kelly Lawson of Mukwonago, Wisconsin.

    I am really sorry to hear the news of Buds passing .we had a summer home in dellwood and I fished with him ,down off the dock the cherney and him always made sure was out there .One day I was fishing and had my pole siting waiting for a fish and it yanked the pole in the water ,i lost my fishing pole and i told bud about it and he actually didnt only make an effort to get me a new pole he fished out the same pole from the lake i never forget him bringing that back to me so wise so wise thy dont make them like bud anymore may he rest in peace .Jeff molden
