Norman N. Cook, age 84, of Plover, Wisconsin died January 18, 2012 at the Stevens Point Care Center in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the United Presbyterian Church in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Pastor Steve Keller will officiate. Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at United Presbyterian Church.
Norman was born October 16, 1927 at home in Springville Township, Adams County, Wisconsin to Ned and Jane (Stowe) Cook.
He attended the Townline Grade School and Wisconsin Dells High School.
Norman married Vera L. Edwards on January 8, 1949 at the White Creek Congregational Church.
He lived on the Family farm and was a dairy farmer for most of his whole life. Norman also worked at the Big Joe Manufacturing plant in Wisconsin Dells for 20 years.
His most favorite hobby was deer hunting and he also enjoyed baseball, turkey hunting and spending time with grandchildren and giving rides on his tractors. He thoroughly enjoyed attending his grandchildrens sporting events.
Norman was a supervisor for the Springville Township as well as an assessor. He also was a school board member for Castle Rock Grade School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned & Jane Cook; son, Richard Cook; Granddaughter, Nichole Nikki Marie Cook; brother, Raymond (Hesper) Cook; sister, Frances (Lloyd) Day; brother, Robert (Arlene) Cook; sister, Edith Vera Cook & sister, Laurice (Charles) Heitman
