Eugene F. Vanderbilt, age 82, of Oxford, Wisconsin/Davis Junction, Illinois passed away on March 31, 2012.
Memorial services will be from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Big Spring Congregational Church. Interment will be at the Big Spring Cemetery following the service.
Eugene was born August 27, 1929, in Jackson Township, Adams County, Wisconsin to Floyd and Dora (Hagerman) Vanderbilt.
He married Helene Curtis in September of 1954 in Wyocena, Wisconsin. Together they had four children. Eugene farmed in New Haven & Jackson Township in Adams County and drove truck his entire life. He enjoyed his work, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Mother & Father; Step-Mother, Bessie Reynolds-Vanderbilt; Daughter, Judy Vanderbilt; Brother & Sister in law, Dale & Mary Vanderbilt; Sister & Brother in law, Doris & Nibs Naber & Brother, Duane Vanderbilt

Son: Curtis Vanderbilt of Oxford
Grandson: B.J. Lyle of Bancroft

I’d like to extend my sincere sympathy to all of Eugene’s family. I grew up in the Oxford area, and always enjoyed visiting with Eugene at the cafe just west of town. He was a very nice person, as were his brothers Dale and Duane, who I also saw at the cafe from time to time. I know Eugene will be missed by all who knew him.
