Kenneth J. Bubla, “Red” age 55, of Big Flats, Wisconsin died after a long battle with cancer on April 27, 2012 at Simple Living in Friendship, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship. Pastor Duntley will officiate. Interment will be at the Big Flats Cemetery, Town of Big Flats, Adams County, Wisconsin. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
Kenneth was born March 29, 1957 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to Charles C. and Evelyn Bubla/Lumby.
Red enjoyed gardening, canning, living on the farm & raising farm animals, working in the woods pulping, hunting and fishing. In the fall he liked traveling and selling Christmas trees. Red especially loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles C. Bubla & his step-father, LeRoy A. Lumby Sr.

A Mother’s Thoughts and Prayer by Evelyn Streeter Bubla Lumby
In loving memories of my son Kenneth Bubla:
I was blessed with seven sons that God granted to me.
It is such a loss on a mother’s part when she loses a son.
You try to protect them from all the hurts in life;
But then you let them go in God’s hands and pray for the best,
I remember little things such as our baseball teams consisting of moms and sons!
Kenneth was a funny little boy with a big imagination.
On one occasion, after watching the Little Rascals show on television of how the little rascals decided to go camping,
Kenneth decided to go on a camping trip also by the creek on his dad’s property in Big Flats;
That is until his father Charlie caught up with him.
Other things that come to mind is that a mother misses them coming home from school on the school bus, and as they grow up they go off on their own.
I recall all the garden vegetables he grew, he was so proud as he gave some to his mom.
I recall our picnics in the park for Mother’s Day with Ken and his brothers
all of the Thanksgivings and Christmas celebrations in my home with them even those that could not make it home, they all called and talked with each other. I will miss you my dear son Kenneth.
May you rest in peace, Rest with God in His Eternal loving care.
I want to Thank Tony and Shelly from Hospice for letting me stay overnight visiting with Kenneth and spending many wonderful hours with him, as Well as Roseberrys Funeral Home for the wonderful service. i am eternally grateful. I want to thank those visitors and those that cried with me. I am thankful for your comfort.
My last prayer is that I hope that this passing may bring our family’s closer, for tomorrow is never guaranteed.

So very sorry to hear about your brother Ken’s passing Dennis. I wish peace, strength and many wonderful memories of Ken to you and to all who knew and loved him.
Ken’s last request of me was to arrange for him to visit his “home”. But Ken, you decided HOME was a better place to be. I look forward to the day when we will meet again and you can tell me all you know about Heaven and being HOME. You hold a special place in my heart and I will miss you. Debbie
Just saw the obituary in the paper and saw the funeral was yesterday but would like to say that Kenny was a great guy and he always did ya right. Sympathy to Jim and Stacey and all the rest of his family.
I am sorry for your loss and send my sincere condolences to the family and friends.

To Ken’s family and extended family. We will miss you Ken at Simple Living-our visits, my smoking buddy!!!!!!!! We are glad that we got to know you over the last few months. Thoughts and prayers to the entire family. Ken was a special person to so many people. Cherish your memories with him, just as we will.
Condolences.
While growing up in this family as the only girls for the longest time My uncle Kenny was there for me alot of the time. I remember staying with grandpa and uncle ken while my dad would work long hours. Uncle Ken was like another kid he was funny, and he always had some kind of goofy thing to say. After grandpa past uncle ken and I still had each other. I loved playing in the woods or the walks through the woods with uncle ken to go to the store (lol). His confidence and spirit made forget that our last name carried so much weight. He showed me that not everyone has to be the same person as the other person. And as I grew up and faced alot of my own twists and turns Uncle Ken was always there with an open ear and a smile on his face for me. Now that you are gone and I still have my dad (Jim Bubla) to turn to but it just will not be the same. Each one of you hold a deep meaning in my heart. I am down one red head uncle now. Uncle Tim and I are the only ones left to share in the funny comments and the jokes, but I know that you are close by laughing with us.
I visit Grandpa every year, as I have for 15 years, I always sit and talk with him. Now when I make my trip home I know I will have two more people to talk with. I miss you so much today, yesterday and that day you could not get to the phone. But I have enjoyed every phone call, every talk, every hug, every laugh, and every moment with while I have been in this world.
Some say that a man needs to hold a steady job or have a career to be successful; I DISAGREE in my uncles case a warm heart and a kind soul was his success.

Ken was a wonderful person and he will be missed. Our sincere condolences to his family.
Our sympathy goes out to Tim and his family on the passing of Kenneth. Perhaps the Lord who knows all gave Kenny one more year to equip him for the sainthood he now enjoys in the presence of the Saviour. We were excited along with Tim just about a year ago when he made the confession of faith and acknowledged Jesus as his saviour. We have never met Kenny on earth, but we look forward to spending eternity with him.
Tim & Family – please know that you are in our families prayers as you grieve the loss of your brother and son. However, we are excited to know that Kenny made the most important decision of his life by accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior and is walking the streets of glory cancer free! We know that if Kenny could have one final wish for his family & friends it would be for them to seek out Christ, the only one that offers peace, and eternity in heaven. “I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6 (Brian, Caryn, Caitlyn, & Bryanne Richard)
