Just wanted to say how sad we are about your mother’s passing. My mother will sure miss her.
Jack and Sue:
The last few times I spent with Aunt Joy she had failed in health so much I was so sad and disappointed. Knowing she is out of pain and at restful peace is comforting. Both uncle Wilfred and Aunt Joy gave so much to me. Remembering our trip to Canada when we were small, my first trip to the badlands and Mount Rushmore and I can close my eyes and see the mountain side where the mountain sheep and elk roamed on the slope above where we were camped on our trip to Washington. I remember Aunt Joy jokingly scolding Uncle Wilfred, ‘Let them sleep!’ when Nan and I would have just laid down in the back seat of the car and he would tell us their was a herd of paints, both of us jumping up expecting to see horses only to find out it was cows. Such wonderful great memories we have all been left by both of your loving caring parents. How much I will miss them in our future.
I am writing my condolences for Joy’s passing. Although we never met, (as far as know) she is my great, great aunt. Doyle Heller is my grandfather. (I revived the Elderkin name after my divorce). I am grateful to know of Joy and of her joys in life.
May the family be held and supported.
Blessings,
AManda Elderkin
May God, family and friends comfort you during this difficult time.
