Jerry Kotek

Jerry E. Kotek, age 86, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Friendship, Wisconsin. Father James P. McNamee will officiate. Interment will be at the St. Leo Catholic Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Friends may also call on Friday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Jerry was born July 08, 1926 in Friendship, Wisconsin to Robert and Julia (Franta) Kotek. He married Elaine C. Riddlestine on August 23, 1950 in Mauston. Jerry owned and operated Jerry’s TV Service for many years before becoming a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Friendship. He retired from the Postal Service in 1986.

Jerry enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, archery, and spending time with his friends and family.

Jerry was a member of Roche-a-cri Bowmen, Wisconsin Bow Hunters, and the NRA.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Henry Kotek; and one sister, Laura.

Brother-in-law: Raymond (Betty) Riddlestine of Mauston, Wisconsin
Sister-in-law: Ruth Clark of Mauston, Wisconsin
Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
