Robert G. Waldo

Waldo_web2Robert G. Waldo, age 89, of Adams, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Adams.   Rev. John Krebs will officiate.  Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.  Visitation will be 10:00 a.m until the time of service on Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Robert was born March 25, 1923 in Springville Township, Adams County, Wisconsin to George and Alice (Wilson) Waldo.

He married Betty Koehler in October of 1948 in Adams, Wisconsin.

Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and playing pool. He was very imaginative, always building and creating. Robert loved a good joke and had a great sense of humor.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church for many years.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Waldo; parents, George and Alice Waldo; brothers, Ernest, Frank and Harold, and one sister, Irene; three half brothers, Bill, Clarence and Carl.

Son:  Larry (Gwenn) Waldo of Waterloo, Wisconsin

Daughter:  Linda Waldo of Adams, Wisconsin

Grandson:  Joel (Mary) Waldo of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin

Great-Granddaughter:  Abby Waldo of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin

Great-Grandson:  Benjamin Waldo of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin

    We are sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Waldo, he used to stop in and drop off a turkey coupon at the office when the Times Reporter ran that turkey giveaway every Thanksgiving, he always had a funny joke to share, he was a real nice guy, and will be missed, our prayers are with his family,may the Lord give you comfort.
