Mavis Chambers, age 89, of Adams, Wisconsin died on February 16, 2013 at the Fair View
Nursing Home in Mauston, Wisconsin.
No services are going to be held per her request.
Mavis was born March 14, 1923 in Grimsby, England to Frank and Daisy (Ryder) Bott.
Following her high school graduation she worked as an L.P.N. and a seamstress.
She married Edward F. Chambers in 1947 in England.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Chambers; parents, Frank and Daisy Bott; Sisters, Zona and Joyce; brother, Frank Rolland Bott and Very special friend, Lillian Hanke

Godchildren: Nancy, Paula, Ralph, Christina, Michelle and Rita
Step grandchildren: Robert & Karen Pellow
I don’t know what I’m going to do without my best friend/phone buddy, shopping buddy/second mother. I hope you found the love of your life, I know you have been waiting for each other for a long time. We will meet again, Mavis. We love you and always will. This news makes me so sad. I absolutely loved Mavis. I have so many wonderful memories of her as I was growing up in Adams. She will be missed.

Sorry to hear the passing of Mavis. My Mother (Barb Traver) worked for her back in the 60’s. As a child my brothers and I along with my Dad would pick asparagus along the roadside for the nursing home and many things from a garden. I always loved visiting Mavis and Ed. My parents gave me Mavis’ first name as my middle name. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Our beautiful Auntie May, always so full of love, you’ve touched so many hearts. God Blessed us with your smile for many years. Rest in peace.
Mavis was a wonderful person and I’m honored to have her as my Godmother.

A wonderful grandmother who taught me so much I will never forget. Who worked so very with Grandpa , which she missed to the end. Now maybe you can by and with Grandpa. You know rest in piece !!!! Love you so much….

What a wonderful and caring lady. Brought joy and happinest to all that came in contact with her. When my daughter worked for her and Ed they bought a small crib so she could bring her baby (Jeremy) to work with her. This was a Very Special Lady. God Bless .

Mavis was a wonderful neighbor and a great friend. Our kids spent many hours with her and Ed reading to the residents at the rest home. She will be missed. RIP Mavis
Mavis was a wonderful Lady.. Such a sweet person. She sent to England to get a six pence for my daughter to wear in her shoe on her wedding day.. I will never forget her. God bless you Mavis..
