Della M. Hyland age:79 of Dellwood, formally of Delafield,lifelong Wisconsin resident finally lost the battle with cancer bravely fought for ten years. A true people person, she loved meeting people and everyone loved her.She loved working in the yard and had a complex rock garden admired by passersby. A bigger Packers fan you will not find. She loved baseball of all levels and an avid golfer, bowler on many leagues. Fishing was a favotite pastime as well as a good card game shared between friends. A proud member of the red hatters club,a past president of the American legion ladies aux.,a volunteer for the hospice touch of Tomah, as well as a den mother for the boy scouts.She held many a job and ran a tavern in the town of Summit called “Grandma Della’s”. It was hard to keep up with her and only a serious illness could slow her down. Her children but especially her grandchildren were the light in her eyes and the great grandchildren kept the light glowing brightly. Della is survived by four son’s : John Dittberner, James Dittberner (Joann), Jeff Dittberner, Jerome Dittberner. Grandchildren Jessica (Matt) Murphy,Danielle (Jamie) Fidler,Tabitha (Chad) Radloff,Lucas Ward (Caitlin Brogan). Great grandchildren : Hunter Murphy,Bailey and Madison Fidler, Alex and Benjamin Radloff.Daughter in law Debra Wallis,step daughter Debra (Todd) Faubel (fishing buds Jesse and Shawn). She also is survived by one brother Earl Winker(Karen). Many,many nieces nephews,cousins and close family friends way too many too mention.
Preceded in death by her mother Lillian Forstyh (104),sister Anita Weustoff,and two brothers Archie Winker and Lyle Winker. Her father Earl Winker Sr.
A celebration of her life will be celebrated later this spring with a notice in this publication. In lieu of flowers please, please make a monetary donation to any of the following charities in the name of Della Hyland :
Veterans VFW or like organization,wounded warriors.Any local humane society or any local hospice or cancer clinic that can use hand knit garments. Volunteering for hospice aide work would also put a smile on Della’s face as well as others.
A special thankyou from the family to Sally and Bob Young,Linda Loring and the “angels” of one touch hospice of Tomah whose help, compassion and understanding made Della’s last moments a lot more comfortable.
I loved my aunt very much and had Great times with her.. She kept you laughing with all the craziness we did together,, She will be very much missed by all who knew her.. my condolences go out to the immediate family and she will always be in my heart,,
We will miss Della with all our heart but she is definitely busy making a new rock garden for all of us in heaven. If you need a shoulder anytme just let me know.

John, Jim, Jeff and Jerry: My sincere and hearfelt sympathy on the loss of your mother. She was such a great neighbor here in Delafield and such a fun energetic person to be around. Jessica and Danielle: Courtney has so many fond memories of the sleepovers you girls had at Grandma Della’s house. I am so happy that you have been able to maintain contact through Facebook. Della truly made an positive impact on the lives of many people. She worked hard and enjoyed life. She will be missed by many.
Della was truly a lovely lady! I worked with her when she bought her home in Dellwood and she was always positive, smiled and enjoyed people and loved her family! She will be missed and may she be at peace!

Della, was a great friend to all who touched Her life, I had the privledge to work and Play cards with her .She had a way to make you laugh or pull you out of a funf you happen to be in if She came around. She raised 4 ,of the nicest Sons any Mom would be proud of. I’m proud to have been able to call Della a friend I could count on at any time. Even tho I now live in southern Texas,I always found time to look up Della when I came home to Wi, She will be missed. My heart goes out to the Family.You lost a real Gem Lynn

Della was a special lady who’s smile will be missed by all of her coworkers, and more importantly, FRIENDS, at Woodside. Oh for one more drink !
Della was one of the nicest ladies I have ever met. Full of fun and eager to try new things. Always a smile on her face. Feel very privleged to have known her. She will be missed. Please accept our sincere condolences and prayers.
