Emelie Mae Maples, age 77, of Arkdale, Wisconsin passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 at her home.

Emelie was born April 13, 1935 in Ludington, Michigan to John and Gloria Mae (Pratt) Fox. Married to Harvey G. Maples on April 27, 1978 in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. They retired to Arkdale, WI in 1995.
Emelie enjoyed dolls, rummage sales, internet, gardening, camping, and nature.
Emelie was preceded in death by her parents, children: Donny and Toni; husband, Harvey; and brothers and sisters.

Emm has been the light of our lives and a part of our family for the past 7 yrs. My best friend, my confidant, my family! We will miss her more than words can say. The void she has left in our lives will never be filled. She was a treasure to us. My condolences to Penny, Ken, David and the rest of the family. She is truely where she wants to be now, with her Toni and Donny ! Rest in Peace my love you will never be gone from our hearts.
I was so Sorry to hear of Emelie’s passing. She was such a nice woman. She often attending our Sunday With Friends meal program here at the Arkdale Trinity Church. She will be missed. May the good Lord grant you comfort and peace as only He can give. You have my heartfelt condolences.
What a special gal you were. I am glad to have known you and had the pleasure of spending many hours of many long talks about life’s adventures. Sure enjoyed those salad luncheons didn’t you? Thanks for the memories. You won’t have to hurt with pain any more.

Emelie was a Grand Lady. So full of fun and mischief. When I worked at the Senior Center she was always the light of my day!. She will be missed by many and forgotten by none.
