Helen Louise Stavlo

Helen - Graduation_StavloHelen Louise Stavlo was born of Otto Albrecht and Louise Steinke on January 11, 1919. She was raised on the small family farm that existed across from the original Adams-Friendship High School. She graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1937. A year later she married Richard Stavlo. They raised three children, Julaine, John, and Omar.

After high school she worked as a telephone operator and later on as a checkout clerk at the Red Owl store. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aide. Throughout her life she loved taking care of the small animals, gardening, and tending her flowers. In her final years at Fairview Nursing home she was still very active in life. She enjoyed tending the flowers that she planted at Fairview. Over the years she entered her flowers in the Mauston fair competition and won multiple first prizes.

Helen continues on in her children, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
