I have known Joe for several years. He worked with my father doing tree work and lawn care. Practically every Saturday Joe would stop and get a cup of coffee from my mother before starting work at the Quincy township as a landfill attendant. He was one of the nicest guys around and always had a story or joke to. Joe had a dog named Huckleberry which was one of the cutest dogs I have ever seen. Huckleberry would sit at the table across from Joe for each meal and wait to be served.
Joe, you were definitely a character with a warm heart and I for one miss you. Going to the land fill is not the same fun experience. Say Hello to my Mom, Dad and brother Glenn as I am sure they are at the gate to welcome you in and warn you about what joke is appropriate.
I ALWAYS ENJOYED THE JOKES SHARED WITH JOE DURING MY WEEKLY VISIT TO THE DUMP…I COULD ALWAYS COUNT ON LEAVING WITH A SMILE.
JACKIE
Prayers for you Joe. The fish will get a little rest now, go catch the big ones in the big sky and say “Hi” to Bob and Ann.
Rest in Peace.
Thoughts and prayers to Joes family. I always enjoyed visiting with him when he came into Four Seasons for the morning coffee clutch. He will be missed.
