Douglas Arthur Roder

Douglas A. Roder

Douglas Arthur Roder, age 61, of Adams, Wisconsin died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Memorial services will be 12 Noon on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Adams, Wisconsin. Rev. John Krebs will officiate. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Doug was born March 30, 1952 in Mauston, Wisconsin to Douglas Dean and June Rose (Toman) Roder. He graduated from Necedah High School in 1970. Doug worked in carpentry building homes with his uncles’ “the Toman Boys”. He began his career at Castle Rock Container in 1972 and worked there until his retirement this past Fall. Doug married Cindy G. Miller on October 12, 1977 in Mather, Wisconsin and they were blessed with three children.

Doug’s life was always spent making a good life for his family. Family time was very important. Not just immediate family, but in-laws, cousins, aunts, uncles, and all his friends he “adopted” as family.

Doug enjoyed car shows, camping, campfires, and all that go with it made him happy. Traveling and seeing the country or sitting by “the lake” in the U.P. We thank God for giving us Doug. He will be missed by all that knew him and anyone whose life he touched.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and June Roder.
