Krista Lynn Halverson

Krista Lynn Halverson, age 46, of Baraboo, Wisconsin died Sunday, December 29, 2013 after a three year courageous battle with cancer.

Krista was born August 14, 1967 in Santa Cruz, California to Glenn and Georgia (Berry) Yarger. She moved to Poulsbo, WA in 1978 and attended North Kitsap High School. Krista married her husband of 28 years, Robert “Bob” Halverson in 1985. Krista lived in Washington State, Minnesota, Florida, and Baraboo, Wisconsin. She worked for the Baraboo School District for the past 6 years.

Krista was preceded in death by her parents.

Krista is survived by her husband, three sons: Bud, Boaz, and Brody who were the joys of her life; brothers: Pat Lively of Lopez Island, WA and Michael Kephart of Houtzdale, PA; sister, Lori Owens; aunt, Sadora Yarger of St. Augustine, FL. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Krista loved to laugh, and continued to have a positive attitude throughout her battle. The family would like to thank the community of Baraboo and the Baraboo School District for their loving support for Krista and her family.

Although I didn’t work at South (ABE) the last few years I know she was highly respected and loved. She will be greatly missed. She taught me a lot about facing tough times with strength and humor.
