Richard “Rick” A. Rogers Jr.

scan_rogers-webRichard Allen “Rick” Rogers JR, age 50, of Coloma, Wisconsin died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at his home in Coloma, Wisconsin.

Richard was born February 24, 1963 in Janesville, Wisconsin the son of Richard A. and Sandra  (Sutherland) Rogers Sr.  He served in the U.S. Army, enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley.  He was a member of the Carpenters Local 1056 and was a painter at Rogers Paint Company.

Rick was a very hard worker, had a heart of gold, and was always there to help you out.  He loved his children and family very much and enjoyed going up north fishing with his dad and sons.

He is survived by his parents: Richard (Sandra) Rogers of Hancock; his children: Adrian Rogers of Coloma, Sean (Cristin) Rogers of Liberty, MO, Tashana (Chris) Lombardo of Villa Rica, GA, and Nicholas Rogers of Friendship; his sister: Brenda (Jeff) Desotell of Wisconsin Rapids; nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by: his grandparents: Floyd and Margaret Sutherland and Elmer and Gladys Rogers and one sister: Kristine Rogers.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin, with Pastor Milt Duntley officiating.  Visitation will be after 11:00 am on Wednesday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home until time of services.

    When my mom died last year Rick was great. I’ve seen him a lot this last year and he always had a funny story about my mom. He always listened. My heart is breaking for his kids. This is the hardest thing to go through. All of his family are in my prayers. It doesn’t get easier but you WILL get stronger.

    I worked with Rick for a number of years, I met up with Rick in Adams and did some deer hunting at his dads and we got to talk some about the good ole days when we worked together at Richardson Paint Co., When I heard that Rick had passed it floored me I was sitting in church Sunday morning when I got that text, I will be praying for the family and I will never forget my friend.
