Clifford Leroy Morrison

web_MorrisonClifford Leroy Morrison, age 87, of Tomah, Wisconsin died Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Tomah VA Medical Center in Tomah, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Father Ivan Torres will officiate. Interment will be at the Quincy Cemetery, Town of Quincy, Adams County, Wisconsin. Military honors will be presented by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.

Clifford was born June 28, 1926 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Henry C. and Effie Irene Morrison. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army. After the war, Clifford worked for Chrysler Corporation as a truck driver. After retirement he moved to Adams County.

Clifford enjoyed fishing, taking care of his dog, Tinker, and spending time with his family. He was well known for his sense of humor and engaging stories. Clifford recently participated in the Honor Flight in the fall of 2013.

Clifford was a member of the Masons.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, Henry C. and Effie Irene Morrison; his brothers and sisters; wife, Dorothy; and the love of his life, Joanne Betty Bingham.

Survivors:
Daughter: Debra Morrison of Adams, Wisconsin
Son: Gary Alan Morrison of Portage, Wisconsin
Step-children: Pamela Schaefer, James Drake, and Lori Holcomb
Granddaughter: Amber Morrison of Richland Center, Wisconsin
Further survived by other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the Tomah VA for their loving care they provided Clifford and Jean Fink whose work was invaluable to the quality of Clifford’s life.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Clifford’s memory to the Adams County Humane Society.

    We are sorry for your lose. Clifford will be missed by all of us in the DAV (Disabled American Veterans Chapter 27), and his friends at the Tomah VA. It was an honor to know him, and to be able to spend time with Clifford at the Tomah VA. As the DAV Rep. at the Tomah VA, I made weekly if not daily visits to 406-A and spent time with him and all our Veterans at the Tomah VA. I thank him for his service to our country.

    Clifford will be greatly lost. We thank him for his service to our county. He will be missed by Monroe County Disabled American Veterans Chapter 27. As a DAV Rep. at the VA. We made weekly visits to 406 A at the VA, and visited with Clifford. It was an honor know him. Rest in peace Clifford.

    May God bring you comfort. Cliffs time here has been completed he had a long life. I will miss him but he will always be in ours hearts. I will not be able to attend because I am living in Arizona after my heart attack.
