Ron Schey

Ron Schey was born on September 20, 1936 and passed away in his sleep on June 13, 2014. Ron was a beloved father, son, brother, grandfather and friend. Ron had a great love for the outdoors, animals, his children, his grandchildren and his friends. An unwavering Chicago Cubs fan, Ron kept hope alive for his hometown team. Time spent with his family and friends meant the world to Ron. Proudly serving in the US Army from 1954 – 1962, Ron loved his Country. Nearly a lifelong member of the United Auto Workers (UAW), Ron believed in the values of hard work, service, country and family. In the fast paced world of the internet, iPhones and e-mail, Ron stayed true to good old fashioned conversation. With a garden chair or two, there was nothing that Ron enjoyed more than a visit from a friend on a sunny day with the birds and his beloved dog Matt close by. Ron is preceded in death by his Mother and Father (Frances & Clarence Schey), his Wife (Joyce Rossman Schey) and survived by his children Kathy Schey Judge & Husband Tom Judge, Natasha Schey Vasquez & Husband Rico Vasquez, Valerie Schey & Husband John Sherry and Grandchildren Thomas Henry Judge and Emma Grace Judge as well as his brother Clifford Schey. A private memorial will be held.  In honor of Ron’s lifelong love of animals, please consider helping to save the life of a homeless animal with a contribution to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd., Kanab, UT  84741

I am deeply saddened by Ron’s passing. He was such a special guy and took such a liking to my girls. He would always ask how they were doing whenever he would see us. He was a kind man. So sorry to hear that he has passed.
