Sis……..I’m finding that wonderful memories of us when we were kids seem to be very vivid to me now. Especially when we lived in Hollandale on the farm and how we all were excited with you getting married. How we decorated our home and yard so special for your garden wedding. I was really excited because I was in your wedding, your flower girl and I had a special dress. It made me feel so special, you were 18 and I was 6. GOD has blessed me with these memories again. I also remember when I came home from school you would help me with my school work. I loved going to your home when school was out for the summer. Yes sis your life was very hard farming with NO water in the house, hauling hot water from the cheese factory for doing your cloths washing, but you never complained. I remember how you taught me how to play tic/tac toe and win every time, I can NOT remember a time when you said NO or complained about anything. you never complained. I know that you have a SPECIAL PLACE IN HEAVEN FOR SURE. I know that you loved JESUS and that you followed HIM the very best you could. Always loving all of your family and would call them all my name. Your grand children and your great grand children I remember when you lived in Gratiot Wisconsin and I sent you a letter in the mail. Many many years later, you showed me the letter and the envelope. We looked at the date sent and I was 6 years old. Well I had addressed the name of Gratiot….just the way it sounds ….in two words…..:-)…:-)……:-)……:-)…….:-)…..
Well sis….I sure do miss you but GOD has graced me with so many many beautiful memories I’m so very thankful…
I love you sis and I’m so happy that GOD chose US to be SISTERS…..I’ll be seeing you soon…With love..Your Sis.

As everyone who knew Virginia, I have countless childhood memories with my Aunt that I hold dear and share often to this day. My brothers and I were blessed to call her Aunt and spend so much time with her growing up. She loved spending time with us and she always made time, never saying no to us when we wanted her to play cards, games, tickling our feet with a feather, baking/cooking something special we wanted or getting us a late night treat before bed, even though she may have just sat to rest for the first time that day. Virginia had so much love and compassion in her heart for others and always put everyone before herself and it didn’t matter that it was after a hard day of work and making sure that all evidence of supper leftovers and dishes were packed up, washed and put away before should would retire for the day. I never heard her complain because she was happy to do for others before herself. She had a heart to serve and an unselfish willingness to serve in any way needed…..a rare trait indeed. I love you Aunt Virginia and I will miss you greatly. Thank you so very much for all the wonderful memories you made with my brothers and I and blessed us with.

My name is Marjorie and I am Virginia’s sister. I live in GALT California just south of Sacramento California where I have lived sense January of 1986. We always talked on the phone keeping up on the goings on. Sis was truly a very hard worker, she enjoyed working and had pride in her work. We always got together on my trips back home to Wisconsin. I was able to travel back to surprise her for her last birthday and see her when she was able to travel and knew every one. We was able to travel and she was able to see her grand daughter that she had not seen in 17 years and this was one of her last wishes. The joy that was in her eyes and her smile said it all. Sis and I talked about going HOME TO HEAVEN and I said If GOD called my name first to go Home that I would be waiting to take her by her hand and lead her into HEAVEN. Sis said that if she was called HOME before me that she would be waiting to lead me into HEAVEN. You see when you believe in GOD, believe in JESUS and believe in the BIBLE there is no fear as we know where we are going. We are going BACK HOME to HEAVEN. Not taking one word from the BIBLE nor adding one word or any thing else to the BIBLE, it tells us just what did or has happened, what is happening now and what is to come. I will miss my only and most wonderful sister. I know that SOON we will all be together again. Rest in JOY sis….

Virginia was a hard working lady and she was always willing to give you her last dollar if that would feed your family. I worked with her at swiss Colony and she never complained about the job she had to do and you would hear kids in there 20’s that could keep up to her. I also got to know her on a personal level when I became friends with her daughter Linda
She will be greatly missed by many and thought of daily by her friends and family.
