John L. Osborn, age 74, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
John was born November 25, 1939 in Grand Marsh, Wisconsin to John Osborn and Ina Craft. John married Geraldine L. Warren on April 18, 1964 in Chicago, IL, they celebrated 50 years April 18, 2014. John moved to Melrose Park IL, where he was employed at Borg Warner in Bellwood, IL. He retired as a foreman after 30 years in 1994. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially deer hunting, he went on fishing trips to Canada and hunting trips to Montana, he enjoyed socializing with friends and family. He loved traveling and going to the farm. He loved the Packers and country music. He loved picking on the kids, they called him “silly papa”.
John is survived by his wife: Geraldine Osborn of Friendship, Wisconsin; three children : Terry (Sandy) Osborn of Adams; Tammy Metoyer of Adams; Julie (Mike) Krah of Adams ; four grandchildren; Brittany Metoyer, Anthony Metoyer, Tiffany Metoyer, and John Cole Osborn; brothers; Carl (Joanne) Osborn of Adams and Bob (Marge) Osborn of Deforest; three sisters; Shirley (Chuck) Subera of Adams, Betty (Norm) Gillingham of Adams, and Arlene (Lloyd) Morley of White Creek. He is further survived by a special friend, Joe; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Memorial services will be 11:00 on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin, followed by Military Honors by the Adams County Honor Guard. Rev. John K. Stake will officiate. Interment will be at the Fordham Cemetery, Town of Adams, Wisconsin. Visitation will be after 10 on Saturday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
