JoAnn D. Pelger, age 67, of Friendship, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
A celebration of her life will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin.
JoAnn was born July 27, 1948 in Pennsylvania.
She graduated from the University of West Virginia as an L.P.N. and then worked at Massillon City Hospital where she met Donald L. Pelger. They were married on April 5, 1974 in Massillon, Ohio. She and Donald later moved to Billings, Montana where she worked at the hospital there. After moving back to Ohio they then moved to Adams County. JoAnn worked at nursing homes in the Dells and Rapids before working at Villa Pines Living Center for the past 17 years where she ended her career.
She enjoyed planting her flower gardens, taking care of her dogs, going to sporting events, and she especially loved spending time with her children and nursing.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr.& Mrs. Lester White and her mother-in-law, Victoria Dahmer.

I was so sad to learn of Jo’s death. She promptly took me under her wing when I started at Villa 12 years ago. The nights she worked was always a better night. She had a way with her residents. She took wonderful care of my dad during his times there. I moved away 6yrs ago, but would try to catch up with Jo when I could. My heart breaks for you, the family, that are left behind. Jo was truly wonderful and I’m so sad she’s gone from this earth. Sorry I won’t be able to make her funeral, I just had surgery yesterday. You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers.

JoAnn was always a ball of fun and an exceptional nurse!! So many great memories and expierences from working with her. May God grant eternal rest on her soul and comfort her family.
JoAnn was a funny amazing woman as well as an excellent nurse. She taught me so much and I will always have a place in my heart for her. May she rest in peace.

Joann was a very special lady. Worked with her for many years at Villa Pines.I ran into here at the clinic in October and got a great big hug.She made me laugh when I was having a bad day at work.She will be missed.Prayers to her family.She will be greatly missed by everyone who was blessed to have known her.
So sorry to hear of your loss. Joanne was a very compassionate person with a wonderful sense of humor. I knew my Dad Larry loved her as well as many other residents. I enjoyed talking to Joanne about family,flowers,dogs. She was truly one of the kindest and most wonderful people I have come to known. God’s speed for healing to all if your family during this most difficult time.

Prayers of comfort sent…hugs included. From the time I was a teenager, I knew her. She was always a no nonsense lady. I had the pleasure of crossing paths on numerous occasions both personally and professionally. I will miss her and or laughs.
