Darlene was a beautiful vibrant woman whose life was forever altered by a horrific car accident when she was 19 years old.

She was born August 9, 1934, the third of nine children born to George and Gladys (Nelson) Hall of Rural Grand Marsh.

As a child she was quiet and shy and recognizable by her bright blue eyes and long wavy blonde hair.

When she was 17,  Darlene married Kay Corning and moved to Portage, Wisconsin.  They had one son, Kirk.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank & Amanda Hall; parents,  George and Gladys Hall; son Kirk, and brother, Clyde.

Darlene is survived by her aunt, Tressie Courter; siblings, June, Viola, Roger, Jo An, Donna, George, and Bruce.

She went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2015.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Grand Marsh Community Center.

    June, Vi, Roger, JoAn, Donna, George and Bruce and your families, you have my heartfelt sympathy. I remember Darlene before the accident, how I always thought she looked like a movie star. She was as pretty as all the movie star pictures you girls had on your bedroom walls.
