Virginia Mae Selzer, age 97, of Adams, Wisconsin died Monday, June 13, 2016 at Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship, Wisconsin.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Illinois.
Virginia was born March 24, 1919 in Dekalb, Illinois to Asahel and Lulu (Miller) Jacobs. She attended Northern Illinois University and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Virginia taught first grade in Lombard, Illinois for several years before marrying John C. Selzer in 1947 in Oak Park, Illinois.
Virginia and John were blessed with two daughters, Deborah & Pamela.
Virginia loved music, gardening, and traveling, and most of all her family. Her daughters were taught the importance of family from an early age which will be her legacy that her family will continue to carry on.
Virginia was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lombard, Illinois.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Asahel & Lulu Jacobs; husband, John Selzer and daughter, Deborah Selzer.

Great-Granddaughter: Ella Frank of Adams, Wisconsin
